We had two rescued Golden Labs named Nala and Blaine (pictured). Nala recently passed away, but we got her first and, as a puppy, she was independent and ready-to-run. Several times when a fence gate or garage door was left open she took off on what I’m sure she thought was a new adventure. My wife and I were panicked and stressed trying to find her – fearing loss of a beloved family member. Thankfully, we found her after hours of anxiety. One time she came home riding in the passenger seat of a neighbors car! We were lucky. You may not be!
So keeping your puppy safe and secure should be your top priority. But you cannot just go erecting fences everywhere just to keep you dog from straying. Well, I suppose you could, but what about the times you go camping or on vacation? Would you go putting up physical barriers everywhere to keep your dog within eyeball distance? Of course not. And what protection is there against a door or gate left open? The best solution is with superior PetSafe technology, the best invisible dog fence and the best fence of any kind for that matter. This fence is easy to set up and offers dog owners an effective containment system for the home or any foreign environment. Check out the great features and advantages of the PetSafe solution. You will quickly understand why it’s been creating waves ever since it came out.
aEasy to set up
This fence does not involve any kind of foundation digging and will only take only about one hour of your time to set up correctly. In addition, you don’t need any special tech skills to set up your smart fence correctly with the instruction manual. The effectiveness of the fence does however depend on several factors including large metal obstructions and the terrain and topography.
aWireless dog fence
With this smart fence, you will not need to put up any physical delimitation. The imaginary boundary set by preset variables and constant instantaneous communication between the transmitter and receiver on the collar are more than effective. Once your dog learns to respect the boundary, a beeping sound is all the reminder they will need to return to the safe zone.
aLarger area of coverage
With this model, you can keep your dog safe within up to 90 feet radius from the point of origination of the signal. This means that you can have your dog within one half acre of land around your house. This fence is elastic enough to give your dog enough room to stay and play while still safely near home.
aWaterproof collar and receiver
The collar, as well as the transmitter, are fitted with ergonomic fully water proofed housings to prevent water from frying the circuitry within. This means that even if your dog decides to go for a swim, the fence will still work.
aEasily adjustable collar for all size dogs
aGentle and safe corrections
The static correction levels on this device are careful tested to ensure that they are safe for the dog with no lasting physical harm. Five levels of correction are available because not all dogs are the same but all require gentle corrections. The beeping warning means that the perfectly safe static correction rarely has to be used once the dog learn what comes next. This containment system is an easy plug and play which also works with any stay + play wireless fence and collar technology. In addition, you can add all your dogs and even the neighbor’s too provided they wear a compatible receiver collar.
aFor most people an electric fence is affordable, particularly when you consider alternatives. Many developments and neighborhood associations have strict codes governing the type of fencing, if any, that is allowed. While electronic fencing can be pricey, it is often significantly less expensive than the cost of installation and materials for traditional fencing like woo, metal, or even plastic. And often associations require high-end, high-priced options.
aInvisible fences provide homeowners added flexibility. Surrounding views and open green spaces created by open property lines are not broken up with an electronic fence. Add to that, an electronic fence can be set up much more quickly than any conventional fence option.
a Invisible fences give a dog more freedom and allow him,, or her, to roam. Some fences can even be designed to cover very large areas – up to twenty-five acres and they can be more easily installed on difficult terrain that may be nearly impossible for traditional fencing.
aIn the vast majority of cases, electronic fences are extremely effective. Often, when other alternatives have failed to keep their dog inside (the dog either climbs over or digs under a traditional fence),many pet owners choose for an invisible fence. Almost always your pet will quickly learn to stay within the boundary line to avoid the warning signal and/or subsequent shock.
a“Okay this thing is priceless to me honestly and I wish I had known that there was a wireless fence system that you didn’t have to tear up your yard to use ages ago because it could have saved me and my family from some serious heartbreak. We had 2 husky babies that we adopted from our local shelters and one of them our 6 month old male named Lycan was a wanderer. We could never keep him in the yard, one day he was outside playing with my husband and kids while they were washing the car and was fatally hit and killed by a truck not more than a 100 yards from our house. I cried, my kids cried, it was devastating. Safe to say that I invested in this thing literally the next day and it has been one of my favorite purchases I’ve ever made for our 4-legged family members. You can set the range to fit your yard and keep all your family members safe! My husky is a stubborn girl but it only took literally 2 time sof her shocking herself on the 2 setting for her to figure out she didn’t like that one bit! (Of course I tested this on myself first) felt like a shock you get from wearing socks on carpet. Plus my girl has very long thick hair I think more than anything it just annoyed the heck out of her! But nonetheless, it was effective and it has done its job perfectly! She’s also not afraid to leave the yard on leash she knows if me or my husband are leading her out of the yard on her leash that her collar is off and she’s allowed to cross the boundary for a walk! Love it and I wish I had heard of this thing sooner it took about 15 minutes to set the entire thing up and probably 3 days for my dog to be completely trained. Like I said lifesaver!”
a“This product allows me (Disabled Vet) to play with my 82lb German Shepherd without having to chase him down when he gets a whim. He gets exercise, patrols the wooded area around the house(big plus for me),chase the deer, and makes his presence known to unwanted guest. I can take it to relatives house when he needs a baby sitter and they like the fact that he has a boundary. Many of my relatives are in the process of getting the system now. Enjoy!!!!!!”

a“The fur babies don’t mind having them on at all. We have large German Shepherd Dogs, so maybe that’s why the weight doesn’t bother them, but they don’t seem heavy anyway. They work fabulously, too. You can hear the audible beep when they are approaching the edge of the yard; and the shock is light a sharp static shock, not painful. I know because I held it in my hand by accident once time when we took them off to leave the yard in the car. It buzzed and startled me, but no pain. It’s funny that they work so well that when I take them off to try to take the dogs on a walk through the neighborhood, they refuse to go along and will dig in and try to get out of the leash.”

a“This unit is great. I have a 1 year old Goldendoodle and he weighs 80 lbs. I set up the flags, turned the base unit on and put the collar on the dog. I walked him around the flag line and let him cross the flag line. He got a correction zap and went back inside the safe zone. 3 months later, he’s only gotten maybe 2 corrections. if he starts wandering past the flags, the audible warning tone is all he needs to bring him right back into the safe zone.”

Yes. You can use an additional wireless transmitter to create overlapping circular containment areas. The transmitters will automatically function together to create the larger field and your pet will have greater freedom. The two signals from the transmitters will need to overlap by at least 5 – 10 feet (similar to the Master Card logo). You can adjust this area based on where you place the transmitters and the range you have the units set on. Additional transmitters are available for purchase on our website or by contacting our Customer Care Center.
If your pet leaves the containment area and stays out, your pet will receive static correction as long as he or she is outside the pet area, for up to 30 seconds. The receiver collar has a safety time-out to stop correction and beeping after 30 seconds until the pet is returned to the pet area.
The wireless transmitter creates a circular containment area for your pet. The transmitter is at the center of the circle.
Choose a location for your transmitter that meets the following criteria:
After you have chosen the location for your transmitter, next:
At this point, you may wish to install the boundary flags included with your system to help you get a visual of the boundary area. You will need the flags to begin training your dog as well.
If you wish to adjust the boundary area, you can either adjust the size of the area by adjusting the boundary dial up or down or you can adjust the location of the boundary area by moving the transmitter within your home.
Trees and shrubs will not affect the system. Neither will bad weather.
However, placing the transmitter inside a metal building can reduce the maximum range of the wireless system.
Parking a vehicle within the pet area, can reduce the range of the system and cause your pet to receive a static correction where it otherwise would not if the vehicle was not there.
Fixed large metal objects such as metal sheds can affect the signal by reducing the maximum range of the system at the location of the object. As a result, your pet may receive a static correction.
If you have a great deal of metal in your yard that you feel my impact your system, you may want to consider an in-ground wired containment system for you and your pet instead. Call Customer Care to ask about your options.
The system will work on a mildly sloped yard. The transmitter signal extends 90/105 feet in all directions. A sloping yard or a yard with hills can cause the pet area to appear less or more than expected. Consider repositioning the transmitter to maximize your pet area.
Never leave the receiver collar on your pet for more than 12 consecutive hours and remove the receiver collar from your pet when indoors for the comfort of your pet.
Millions of pets are comfortable while they wear stainless steel contacts. Here are some important steps for the health and comfort of your pet:
If a rash or sore is found on your pet:
Discontinue use of the collar until the skin has healed.
If the condition persists beyond 48 hours, see your veterinarian.
For best results, your pet should be 4 to 6 months old and know basic commands such as sit and stay.
